School

On August 9, 2008 I graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science. You may ask, as most people do, what is that? According to Wikipedia, Computer science, or computing science, is the study of the theoretical foundations of information and computation and their implementation and application in computer systems. Simply stated, computer scientist make computer programs such as the web browser you are using to view this web page. Many will say that computer science is or appears to be very difficult, but I disagree. Yes at times it can be challenging, but I like a challenge on occasion, it gives me something more intellectual to do.

When I was trying to decide where I wanted to go to school UNT was my only choice, I wanted to go to UNT and nowhere else. I always heard my piers talking about where they wanted to go to school and it was always the same three schools: Texas, Tech, or A&M. Why only those three, because they have good football teams? I believe that maybe the answer, but for me those were the places that I did not want to go to. Now as a junior(correction: now a senior, another correction: now an alumnus) I now that I made they correct choice. I have met many great people here and am receiving an education from an excellent university.
